Hey there! My name is Alondra (she/her/hers). I have had the opportunity to work in adult outpatient, and young adult residential treatment programs for folx with severe and persistent mental health issues in the Salem and Portland areas. In these settings, I have worked with trauma survivors, disordered eating, and LGBTQ+ issues.

I believe that we all have the ability to grow and transcend from our past and present wounds and turn them into sources of empowerment and healing. I believe that we can mend the relationship between our minds and bodies.

And I believe that you are brave for taking the leap to want this relationship to heal. My collaborative approach integrates somatic, compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, informed by relational and multicultural models, and guided by a person’s identities and existential uniqueness. I aim to hold space where ideas, dilemmas, triumphs and identities are heard, respected, and celebrated; here, you can show up as who you are, and we can work together to discover the possibilities for your life and journey. Together, we will both learn how to speak the language of your inner wisdom and honor your story and your true nature. I am here to empower and assist you in living the best version of your life by processing your adaptive strategies.

I approach LGBTQ+ issues through a feminist therapy framework, particularly around identity work and social transitions. I also take a Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating approach, and I believe that eating disorder recovery is more about re-learning body wisdom, rather than taking a general prescriptive road to healing. Body wisdom is less about seeking fixed answers about sense of self, but more about curiosity and acceptance for your ever-changing nuanced-self. It is about allowing your mind and body to befriend each other and listening to what brings you joy.

I hope I have the honor to join your lived experience and get the opportunity to witness you move forward on your voyage.

Working with Alondra

I have appointments available Tuesday through Friday and am current accepting new clients for virtual and in person sessions.

My fee is $135 for a 55-minute individual session and my sliding scale slots are currently full. I accept credit card, cash, and HSA/FSA cards. As a professional counselor associate, I am not able to bill insurance directly. However, I am able to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurer to seek partial reimbursement. Receiving a superbill is not a guarantee of payment from an insurer and it is up to you to confirm your benefits. Please contact your insurance company to inquire about out-of-network benefits for mental health services and inquire about reimbursement for an associate level clinician.

I am currently under the supervision of Kelsey Domann, LPC and Lesley Burke, LPC.

Please note: Insurance that covers mental health services is an important benefit, but please be aware I am required to provide a diagnosis to your insurance company.  If you are uncomfortable with having a mental health diagnosis, please discuss this with me.  You have the option to pay for services out of pocket and not involve your insurance company.
